Olivier Petit

ML/Software Engineer - LLM & AI Applications

I design and ship software systems powered by AI from backend architecture to production deployment. My background in deep learning lets me go further on the AI side while my engineering mindset makes sure it holds up in production and throughout the development life cycle.

CIFRE - PhD in Computer Vision and Medical Imaging

Visible Patient β€” CNAM

Development and training of new state-of-the-art deep learning models for 3D segmentation of abdomial organs in CT-scans and MRI images. Collaboration with R&D teams to ship the AI tools developed during the thesis into the annotation software used daily by radiologists.

Python PyTorch / TensorFlow Medical Imaging

PhD in Computer Vision & Medical Imaging

After graduating as a software engineer from INSA engineering school, I joined the CEDRIC lab to complete a PhD in deep learning applied to medical imaging. I designed novel deep neural network architectures for organ segmentation on abdominal CT scans. It gave me a rigorous foundation in model design, training pipelines, and applied machine learning that I now bring directly to production systems.

Thru-Hiking

My passion for long-distance hiking reflects the way I approach my projects. Planning, discipline, self-reliance, and determination are the hallmarks of these adventures, in which pushing one’s limits is central. I apply the same philosophy to my work, with the constant goal of improving and becoming better.
